About Me
Hi! I’m Sherry, a full-time digital nomad currently traveling through Mexico (very slowly).

I’m finally realizing my dream of being a digital nomad. I’ve been living and traveling in Mexico for over two years and it’s been amazing!
I researched for years (literally years!) before setting out because that’s what I do. I’m a big planner and over-thinker. I even wrote a book about how to become a digital nomad! You can find it on Amazon.com here.
Becoming a digital nomad isn’t easy. But I can help you live the life you’re dreaming of. I’ve got advice on the digital nomad lifestyle – including remote jobs.
You’ll also get tips on traveling with your dog and all kinds of travel info so you can make the most of your journey – whether it be long or short.
Why I’m a travel blogger
✔ I want to help people wade through the complexities of becoming a digital nomad. So many people just don’t know where to start. Plus there is a lot to deal with – equipment, wifi, communication, housing, language barriers…. the list goes on.
✔ I want to help people travel with their dogs. There’s just not enough content about taking your dog with you on your travels. I’m here to change that so you never have to leave your best friend home again.
✔I want to help people plan amazing trips. I love sharing my experiences so you can benefit from them.
✔ I love my life. I want to help you create a life you love too. There’s a saying, “Create a life you don’t need a vacation from.” I thought that was ridiculous. Vacations are the best thing ever! But when you’re working with a view of the Caribbean, all you need is a couple of hours off to go snorkeling.
How I Got Here
It all started when I lost my job. I had been in the corporate world dreaming about retiring in the Caribbean. Then suddenly I was unemployed. I really didn’t want to go back to another office job so I started looking for other things I could do.
I started teaching English as a foreign language online. That was fun, but since my students were in China and I was in California, the time difference was killing me.
I stumbled onto copywriting. People have been telling me for years I should be a writer. I jumped in, started my own copywriting business, and it’s doing great. I can officially work from anywhere.
The only problem was I had to write what other people want me to write. That’s fine. I mean, they are paying me after all! But I have so many words that need to get out of my brain.
Enter travel blogging! Here I can write about my biggest passion. Not only that, I get to help other people travel too.
I’m always surprised how many people hear what I’m doing and say, “Wow, I wish I could do that.” Well, guess what? You probably can!
I can’t believe I’ve gone on this long without mentioning my dog.
Meet Shelby

Shelby is my four-year-old Yorkie-poo. I adopted her before becoming a digital nomad so I knew she would be my travel pup. I also knew this would complicate things and potentially increase costs (I had no idea how much!), but I’m a dog lover and the extra hassle is worth it.
Shelby is a great little travel dog. Except for one thing – she hates riding in cars. Airplanes, fine. Trains, no problem. Cars, big nope. Airports are her favorite places – all those people who miss their dogs want to pet her. It’s puppy heaven.
Once we arrive in a new place, Shelby is excited to sniff all the smells and check out the people. Honestly, she has more human friends than I do!
Come with us as we explore the world. Maybe we’ll meet up in person one day. Until then, I’ll keep providing you with amazing information so you can live your life on your terms. It’s not an easy life, but it’s so, so worth it.
Ladies, join my free, private Facebook group, Women Over 50 Digital Nomads. It’s a safe place to connect, learn, and thrive as a digital nomad. You don’t need to be over 50 but you do need to be a woman.
